Maanadu Movie Story
While the cast and crew of the film are yet to be announced, it is rumored that they will approach AR Rahman to compose the music and appoint PC Sriram as the cinematographer. In January 2019, Rashi Khanna was in talks to play the female lead, however, Kalyani Priyadarshan, who was paired with Sivakarthikeyan in Hero (2019), later starred. In June 2019, Yuvan Shankar Raja, known for his successful collaboration with Silambarasan and Venkat Prabhu, signed on as a composer.
It was said that Kannada actor Sudeep will play the villain in the conference film, however, the actor denied his claims. In January 2020, producers SA Chandrasekhar, Bharathiraja, Premji Amaran, and Karunakaran, cinematographer Richard M Nathan, editor Praveen KL, action director Stunt Silva, and costume designer Vasuki Bhaskar announced the full cast and crew.
